On 27 May 2025, the LUCIA project will hold a hybrid scientific evening titled “Lung Cancer can’t wait – Prevent it, Detect it early, Save Lives” in Bilbao, Spain.
This scientific event aims to align efforts with the objectives of the Cancer Mission to ensure that early detection initiatives lead to meaningful health improvements. The event will feature participation from leading experts, physicians, scientists, stakeholders, policymakers, and patient associations, emphasizing the importance of a multidisciplinary and patient-centred approach in research.
The participation of patient associations and the community is of vital importance in these events, above all, to know their real needs and demands and in this way be able to generate empowerment, increase their health literacy, and above all improve their healthy habits, their quality of life and self-management of the disease.
This conference is part of the activities of the “Prevention and Early Detection (Screening)” and “Understanding (Risk factors & Determinants)” clusters under the EU cancer mission. It serves as a key dissemination event for the LUCIA project, dedicated to advancing knowledge and improving strategies for lung cancer screening and early detection.
Relevant audiences are welcome to join online.
Full details and the agenda will be published soon.
