German Cancer Research Center

DKFZ

Heidelberg, Germany

DKFZ is the largest biomedical research institute in Germany and a member of the Hemholtz Association of National Research Centers. The main research topics of the Division of Clinical Epidemiology and Aging Research are clinical cancer epidemiology, cancer prevention, epidemiological aging research, and epidemiological methods.

The DKFZ team from the Division of Clinical Epidemiology and Aging Research will perform epidemiological analyses for the project. These analyses include deriving, extending, validating and comparing risk-based models for the selection of participants for lung cancer screening. Multi-omics analyses will also be performed. The results will be used to inform potential risk-adapted screening strategies and recommendations for EU countries.
