Institute of Clinical and Preventive Medicine of the University of Latvia

The main activity of the UL ICPM is organising and conducting fundamental and applied research in medical, biological and medical ethics fields. The Institute undertakes research in public health and disease prevention, population, screening and intervention, as well as areas of clinical medicine, including oncology, microbiome and infectious diseases, internal medicine and surgical pathology, laboratory medicine and visual diagnostics, and other natural sciences.

UL ICPM have extensive experience in planning, running, and analysis of clinical studies. During LUCIA, UL ICPM will implement the prospective studies, contribute with retrospective data, take responsible research practices, and disseminate data to relevant health authorities. UL ICPM will be involved in the clinical validation, recruiting of patients and development of the study.
