IRB Barcelona is an international centre that hosts 400 employees and conducts multidisciplinary research of excellence to offer pioneering solutions to unresolved medical needs. Since its foundation, IRB Barcelona has been awarded 17 ERC grants. The laboratory led by Dr. Fran Supek, uses statistical genome analyses and machine learning methodologies for studies of massive genomic, epigenomic and transcriptomic data sets.

IRB Barcelona is a partner, working on the development of a genetic and epigenetic score to contribute to the assessment of lung cancer risk through whole genome sequencing and computational analysis.
