Timelex is a leading niche law firm specialised in the legal aspects of information technology (IT), privacy & data protection (GDPR), intellectual property, and media & electronic communications. We constantly strive to match law and innovation for both private- and public-sector clients. Timelex is involved in Horizon Europe research and innovation actions and similar research initiatives since its establishment.
Timelex ensures that LUCIA complies with all relevant legal provisions, for example in the field of privacy and personal data protection.
First, Timelex identifies legal and ethical requirements for the execution of LUCIA. They define the legal requirements for AI and GDPR compliant data gathering and sharing, provide required texts and address any legal questions. They also contribute to the ethics policy and data protection by design and by default of the clinical trials.
Second, Timelex leads the data management plan. This plan describes how data within LUCIA is created, organised and shared according to the FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable). While setting up LUCIA’s data sharing strategy, they look for commonalities and data exchange within the “Understanding Cancer” and “Preventing Cancer” clusters of the Horizon Europe actions.
